My name is Stacey and I am a 24 year old college student (grad school, great stuff).
I am starting this blog as a way to keep track of my progress trying to get in shape and become healthy again! Ever since I started college I have gained ~30 pounds, and I would like to take them back off! I plan to do this by using the P90X 90-day workout program from BeachBody.
I have tried this workout program before, but it was right before I started a new year of school and as soon as school up and got going again, I stopped. I only lasted for about 3 weeks before coming up with excuses why I couldn’t fit the workouts in anymore.
This time, I am going to start more than 3 weeks before semester starts again, and I am going to keep a blog to help keep accountability!
I work from home, so commute and prep-time are pretty nonexistent, and this should add extra time to my day that most people don’t have. However, because of this I also sleep in a lot (oops!) and end up just having barely enough time to work, do homework, and chores.
My plan now is to wake up an hour earlier than ususal. One hour should not harm me or make me feel too horrible. Once school starts, as I SWEAR I will keep doing this then too, my earliest class is at noon, so I figure I can workout for an hour, take a shower, and have 2 more hours to get ready – and therefore still only have to wake up at 9 AM.
At the same time, I am also starting a new diet based on the government’s Food Guide Pyramid website.
